Ava and Harrison have been busy too. Ava had a volleyball camp at UNI and decided she wanted to cut 7 inches off of her hair! Can you believe it? Harrison can crawl really fast now! He chases Hank and pulls himself up on everything. I bet by the time I see you again he'll be walking. Yikes! He also has discovered ice cream, that's his new favorite food.
Jeffery surprised us with a vacation to Chicago for our second year wedding anniversary. We took Ava and Harrison and did a lot of cool things! It was a five hour car drive but it went pretty fast.
Here we are at the Shedd Aquarium watching beluga whales.
We visited Millennium Park and played in the water fountains.
Here's Ava and I with the giant bean.
Family picture looking into the giant mirror bean.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July! What are you doing to celebrate? We are going to Galena for the weekend to see my Mom and Dad. Ava is excited to see the parade and fireworks, I hope they don't scare Harrison! We are also going to a rodeo. I'm sure I'll have lots of exciting pictures to share with you.
Later on in July, we'll be going to Lost Island, the waterpark. I'm sure most of you have been there already this summer. I'm waiting for a REALLY HOT day. We haven't had to many of those yet. If I'm going to be in water all day, I want it hot! You know me, I'm always cold.
Check back at the beginning of August! It will be getting closer and closer to the beginning of your school year!
Hi Megan,
ReplyDeleteI like all the personal touches you added to your blog. This allows students and families to really get to know you on a personal level, not just as a teacher. Looks like you had a great time on your vacation:) Happy 4th of July!
Looks like you guys had lot of fun in Chicago. Lived there for 14 years and once in awhile I miss it. We just spent 3 days in Peoria watching my youngest daughter compete in NSA 12U Softball. We got rained out and left early. :(
